Welcome to the home page of Furlong Rangers Football Club.               

The football club formed in May 2007 with one team.  This was increased to 2 teams for Season 2008-09.  We are hoping to recruit enough players to start two new teams for 2009-10. It is also possible that we could run an open age team for next season.

Furlong Rangers achieved the FA Charter Standard in November 2007

Plans for season 2009-10

Providing we can recruit some new players Under 18's will play in the Bolton Boys and Girls Federation.  Subject to Council pitch allocations this team will play at Furlong Close.

We have applied to the Wigan and District Youth Football League for our Under 11's team and subject to recruiting enough players for our Under 8's and Under 13's these teams will also play in the Wigan and District Youth Football League.  Subject to Council pitch allocations Under 13's will play at Furlong Close and Under 8's and Under 11's will play at Jolly Jack's playing field, Bamfurlong

Directions to our Ground

Furlong Close can be found along the A58 between Ashton in Makerfield and Platt Bridge.  If you are travelling from Platt Bridge you will find us on the left hand side behind the terraced houses just before you reach Abram Bryn Gates Primary School.  If you travelling from Ashton in Makerfield we are situated behind the houses on the right just after Abram Bryn Gates School.

Jolly Jacks playing field is behind the terraced houses opposite the Bryn Hall pub on the A58 in Bamfurlong.
